Chloe, Cara's real-life whippet in Trinity Stones<\/p><\/div>\n

I'd like to introduce my whippet, Chloe. She plays a character in my upcoming series, The Angelorum Twelve Chronicles . <\/em><\/em>Being French, she's quite dramatic and has always wanted to see her name\u00a0in lights. She's hoping for movie rights. I'm working on resetting her expectations.<\/p>\n

The reason for today's whippet post, in addition to her being cute and my\u00a0inspiration for Cara's canine companion, is the fact that my home is currently being overrun by a total of FOUR whippets. Two of which are my own\u00a0children, and the other two\u00a0are foster children. As you can imagine, this is creating havoc with my writing schedule, not to mention the inability to get a good night's sleep. Over the weekend, my husband\u00a0slept between\u00a0the couch and\u00a0a blow-up mattress downstairs\u00a0with our\u00a0foster whippets to prevent a chorus of yowling the likes you'd never heard. Me? I lay sandwiched between our dogs on a\u00a010-inch sliver of King-sized mattress.<\/p>\n

The worst part: my inspiration muse has left the building\u00a0to get away from all the dogs, leaving me with\u00a0mental constipation.\u00a0A simple scene has been taking me days to complete.<\/p>\n

*Pasting on a smile now *<\/p>\n

Happily, the dog sitter has them all for the next two nights.\u00a0I can get back to work, and my husband can have a few\u00a0quality REM cycles.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, here is a picture of Chloe in character as a Sentinel of the Angelorum.<\/p>\n
